Castle Rock Park
1700 Castle Rock Rd, Walnut Creek, CA 94598-5100
Castle Rock Recreation Area is situated within Diablo Foothills Regional Park, in a scenic canyon near Pine Creek. Oak forests and sandstone formations dominate the landscape.
Historically, Castle Rock has specialized in organizing picnic events for large groups of 300 or more people, but the East Bay Regional Park District began renovating the park for both drop-in and picnic use in 2007. Remember that there's no park shuttle service from front gate. Take your heavy or lightweight wagon stuff. The drive to the front gate pool area is one-quarter mile, an average six-minute walk. A half-mile walk to the Orchard Staging Area pool area.
Bordering Mt. Diablo State Park and Walnut Creek Open Space, Diablo Foothills Regional Park and Castle Rock Park have access to over 18,000 acres of public land.

The swimming pool complex has a 70-feet swimming pool and deck areas. The complex is also fully accessible to people with disabilities, including the bathhouse and an accessible pool lift. Swimming is allowed only if the lifeguards are in operation.
