The Bridges Golf Course
9000 S. Gale Ridge Rd San Ramon, CA 94582
The Bridges Golf Club is a must-play golf course for those looking for a demanding, risk-rewarding round of golf while playing golf in the Bay Area. The Bridges Golf Club is located 35 miles east of downtown San Francisco, in San Ramon's rolling foothills. We deliver lovely wedding reception and ceremony services and our expertise in Northern California is unparalleled. The Bridges also provides our guests with golf lessons, tournaments, lighted driving range, online tee times, and an elegant event venue, restaurant, and bar.
The Bridges Golf Clubhouse, situated on a gentle rise in the foothills of Mt. Diablo, looks at the Mediterranean villa with its tiled roof, white walls, and Moorish towers. The interior looks like an exclusive country club and the view is a dream in green from almost every window: acres of velvety fairways, rolling out into the distance. The environment is so stunning, you might easily forget this place was designed primarily for golf.
On reaching the lobby of the clubhouse, a pair of elegant wrought-iron gates on your left open into a swanky bar inside one of those exotic towers you saw in front. The beautiful double-high coved ceiling features a huge chandelier in a Medici castle that would feel at home! The bar is overlooking the Golfer's Patio, where visitors can quaff drinks under a sycamore's shade while watching the players on the links.
French doors and windows make up one side of the main dining area of The Bridges, aptly christened the "View Room." Window sconces and an antique-style chandelier create a romantic candelabra effect and intensify the warm glow of the earth tones of the space along with the sunlight. A wooden ceiling beam crosshatch harmonizes with the wood trim of the richly upholstered chairs and the oak tables.
A veranda runs along with the club's greenside, accessible by both the View Room and the adjacent Fireplace Area. These two quarters, used separately, are separated by a tasteful partition of wooden shutters covered with glass cutaways; the partition is simply folded away to merge the rooms for a larger case. The View Room's ambiance of luxury and comfort even pervades the Fireside Suite, a cozy spot for a rehearsal dinner. Your focus here is on a grand stone heart with a novel design: the fireplace is in fact double-sided, and doors lead to a curved patio circling the outer face of the heart. They call this the "Back Fireplace," and in the evening breeze, if there's a chill, just snuggle up by the heart and see the picturesque panorama.
The most dramatic room of the club is the Garden Pavilion, only steps away from the clubhouse. It's a wide room, with a 25-foot ceiling, antique wrought-iron candlesticks, and a wall of massive archways overlooking the fairways. Guests love to walk onto the "Looking Terrace" through the middle arch, where they have a panoramic view of the mountains, Mt. Diablo, and the vibrant sky as the sun sets behind the hills. The archways have tall French windows and doors, and the facility is air-conditioned for year-round comfort. But, when the weather is great you can always open the windows and let it breeze in the afternoon. The Pavilion is breathtakingly set for an elegant reception: tables are decorated with linen, flowers, and votive candles; silver and crystal sparkle in the candlelight, and the whole room is filled with a warm glow. However, if you want a more informal ambiance, the flexibility of the Pavilion can adapt to your creativity. Several couples brought in lion or dragon dancers for entertainment, and one also hosted hula dancers with a luau. Bridges fill the Pavilion with festive decorations during the holiday season, but if you have a different look in mind, the event coordinators of the club would be happy to help you accomplish that.
The Bridges Golf Club wants the golf course to have "proper etiquette and the highest expectations." The clubhouse and Pavilion also reflect this focus on quality and tradition, so whether you're hosting a custom golf tournament, a meeting, or the most formal wedding reception, your event will be first-class all the way through.
