New Years is over. Are your resolutions still working for you?
Members of Laptop Lounge were in for a treat on January 23rd when Susie Garcia, author of “Psyched to be Skinny,” shared her weight saving health tips with us during her book signing.
The first tip we learned was to log our weight on Wednesdays!
Susie is a registered dietitian and nutritionist, and says the best approach for a healthier you is the three P’s – Practical, Purposeful and Positive.
Practical – It doesn’t require special or costly foods to adapt Susie’s eating practices to your lifestyle.
Purposeful – You set a desired effect and an intentional outcome so that you are healthy, and not controlled by emotional eating.
Positive – There isn’t a “Can’t,” “Don’t,” or “Stop that,” in the book.
Psyched to be Skinny never mentions going on a diet. Statistics show that over 95% of diets fail! So, forget dieting, it’s all about making choices she calls “Life-styling.”
