Alamo is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Contra Costa County, California, in the United States. It’s located about 28 miles east of San Francisco in the East Bay region of the San Francisco Bay Area. Alamo is midway between Walnut Creek and Danville, at a distance of roughly 14 miles from each city. As of the 2010 census, Alamo had a population of 14,750 people.
