Matt joined CircleBlack in November 2014 after a short stint as a project manager for Siemens in the SF Bay Area. Before CircleBlack, Matt was commissioned an artillery officer in the US Army. He served for four years, including a yearlong deployment to West Baghdad, Iraq with the 1st Infantry Division in 2008-09. After the Army, Matt moved to Los Angeles, CA where he worked for Spirit of America, a humanitarian NGO. For almost four years, he criss-crossed the world for Spirit of America, working alongside US troops and diplomats to provide humanitarian assistance to communities across Afghanistan, the Middle East, Africa, and South America.
Matt enjoys working at Laptop Lounge. “Since I joined CircleBlack, I’ve worked from home. My wife and I welcomed our first child in August and while I’d totally prefer to stay home all day and stare at our little guy, I need a place to go where I can focus on helping CircleBlack grow into a world-class technology solution for investors and advisors. I work and make calls in the Open Lounge at a desk with a monitor that they provide. I also enjoy the option of a phone booth for when I need to make a private call. Matt lives in Walnut Creek with his wife Stephanie, an attorney in San Francisco, and their newborn son, Tommy.
