About our speakers:

Joel Harris, with the Law Office of Joel A. Harris, opened his own practice in 1993. Lillian Cordice, with Mass Mutual, has been in the financial industry for 13 years. Lillian holds licenses 6 and 63, and obtained the CLTC designation for specialists in long-term care planning. Hailing from Sussex county England, Lillian went to college in London and received her civil service executive position at Brighton County Court. As a financial services representative, Lillian’s mission is to assist individuals and business owners in defining their objectives and achieving the outcomes they desire. James Shafer, with Farallon Law, has represented private and public companies, as well as individuals, in many different types of corporate transactions, including entity formations, securities offerings (private and public), mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital investments, SEC public company reporting, and a wide variety of business contracts. James frequently advises start-ups and entrepreneurs in connection with preparation for angel and VC financing, including by means of convertible notes, SAFEs and preferred stock financings.
