Osage Station Park
816 Brookside Dr, Danville, CA 94526
Osage Station Park is known for its beautiful, memorial rose garden, and play area with a train station for children.
The 35-acre park includes four tennis courts, four diamonds for baseball, several soccer fields, and a walk around the park. You will rent out the tennis courts and sports fields. An additional parking lot is located off Orange Blossom Way, near the tennis courts. The twenty picnic tables and five barbecue pits are located near the play area for children, and can be rented.
The park is named after the Osage Oranges ranch that developed, and the park still has three Osage Orange trees in it.
The play area at Osage Park is an inclusive, sustainable and safe play area where children can let their imaginations run wild! The playground's old west theme ties in with the old railway past. Some thematic elements include: a tot area modeled after an old western train station, complete with a clock tower, passenger platform and play train; the youth play area is a rambling old town with a bank, hotel, lounge and jail; the complementary items include an embankment slide, mining themed spring runner, flashing railroad crossing arms, climbing barrels and a rubber coated "mesa" for children.
Overall, this park is simply awesome. Very flat but the playground area is huge and fantastic. Kids everywhere which should be testament that they love this place. Huge fields in the middle for soccer and baseball. There are a couple of tennis courts. There are two latrine areas but the only bad thing is that they have closed doors but when you wash your hands, there isn't any way to dry which is annoying. Amazing park indeed, though and great circle for running, jogging, and cycling. The park is also right next to Charlotte Wood middle school.
